Our Mission

The mission of the RHHS chapter of the National Honor Society is to foster an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to perform community service, to promote significant leadership roles, and to encourage the development of student character.

NHS members are recognized as school leaders and role models. Through their actions both on and off the RHHS campus, members are expected to uphold the civic, ethical and academic standards set by the school and community.

Eligibility Requirements for NHS membership

  • Students must be in grades 10, 11 and 12 and have a cumulative G.P.A of 90 or above.
  • Students must have documentable leadership and community service experience.
  • Students must receive positive recommendations from former teachers.

Students must also remain active in a variety of school and community activities throughout their tenure as NHS members. Members are expected to participate in a set minimum of activities per year in order to remain eligible as outlined in the RHHS National Honor Society chapter by-laws.
